Club History

The Kiwanis Club of O’Fallon Missouri was chartered with forty-three members on Thursday, August 3, 1961, at Assumption Catholic Church Auditorium. 

The Kiwanis club of St. Charles was the Sponsoring club and Russell Emge was the first club president.  Clarence Lehnen, governor of MO/ARK District presented the charter.  The first meetings were conducted in the fellowship hall of the Williams United Methodist Church.

The first Project of the Club was in Late 1961 when the club restored a burned out family of 10 near Cottleville with a home and belongings.  This set the tone for the O’Fallon Kiwanis Club - to be a club that helped people with “real needs”.  

Today our budget is over $12,000 and we contribute 100% of the monies raised during fundraiser to charitable and educational organizations that serve principally the greater O’Fallon City and West St. Charles County Area.
